IN SHOP FABRICATION:

* People often think that when they call Mirage and place an order for something, a Glass Table Top for example, that they will be able to pick it up later that day. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. Unlike many industries, the glass industry is still predominately a hands on field.

* Glass is still cut with a glass cutter and the custom made Italian Beveling machinery still requires a great deal of individual attention to produce the quality work that is expected of it. It takes years of knowledge and natural artistry to work with glass the way in which we do here at Mirage.

* Glass and Mirror sheets are generally either 72" x 100" or 48" x 120". Just imagine the preparation that it takes to turn that into a scalloped edge table top. Yes, the machinery does help create beautiful edge work, but that is the absolute final stage - everthing up to that point can take hours of labor to create.

* Start factoring in holes for light sconces, corner notches, custom glass and mirror contouring to wrap around that beautiful chair rail moulding in your bathroom, and that could go from hours of labor to days of labor (all worth the wait of course).

* It takes patience, know-how, and most importantly a love for glass to have this kind of one-on-one dedication that we have proven to have.

* At Mirage, we feature the latest in technology for the glass and mirror industry. From custom machinery, specifically designed for us, to high tech adhesives that most people have no idea about.

* Our love for the industry keeps us close to our craft, and with the newest technological advances, we are able to create things that are that much more beautiful.
